Delayed treatment; MRI’s, CT scans, surgery, from on-the-job workers comp injuries and the cocktail of painkillers is a horrible combination. The city fails to care for the city’s heroes…the same heroes rushing into dangerous situations risking their lives for complete strangers at a moments notice. BUT When time to return the favor …when a hero needs care for a line of duty injury…the city sends its heroes to dingy hole-in-the-wall clinics to get their standard cocktail of work comp pain killers while they are forced to wait months for much needed MRI’s and CT scans delaying getting the right treatment for months even years in some cases -what a bargain. Risk your life as a job, and rush to give people your all, but when you need help, forget it. Shame on the city of L.A. Leaders care about getting their people: home (safely), paid (properly & timely), fed (hydration, nutrition, rest).
